Tenna - Adding VINs to Your Tenna Account.

Adding VIN Numbers in Tenna for Insurance Reporting

SpeedGauge requires a Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) for every vehicle in your Tenna account to support insurance reporting. Because VIN is an optional field in Tenna, you may need to add or update VIN information. Vehicles with missing or incorrect VINs may not be included in insurance reporting.

Before You Begin

To add or update a VIN in Tenna, you must have the Edit Assets permission. If you do not have this permission, contact your Tenna administrator for assistance.

How to Add or Update a VIN

Tenna provides detailed instructions, including screenshots, within its online Help Center.

  1. Go to Tenna's Help Center at help.tenna.com
  2. Sign in using your Tenna account credentials.
  3. Search for topics related to editing assets.
  4. Follow the instructions to edit the vehicle asset and enter or update the VIN in the VIN field.
  5. Save your changes.

Once the VIN has been added to the vehicle record in Tenna, it will be available for retrieval through the Tenna API and can be used by SpeedGauge for insurance reporting.

If needed, SpeedGauge can manually add VIN numbers to your vehicles. To request this, send the vehicle nickname and corresponding VIN number for each vehicle to insurance.support@speedgauge.net
