Scoring

Vehicles can receive two different scores. These scores are shown on the benchmarking page

FAIR Score

Main article here

To receive a monthly FAIR Score, a vehicle must have either at least 500 miles or 5 days of use.

  • A vehicle that had 600 miles and 7 days of use will receive a score
  • A vehicle that had 600 miles and 1 day of use will receive a score
  • A vehicle that had 20 miles and 7 days of use will receive a score
  • A vehicle that had 20 miles and 1 day of use will not receive a score

Vehicle Operator Score

Also known as the Safety Score. This score is based on speeding - a choice that is up to the driver.

To receive a monthly Vehicle Operator Score, a vehicle must have either at least 500 miles or 5 days of use. In April 2020, this will be expanded so that a vehicle that does not meet the 500 miles or 5 days threshold will still have a score if it had at least 500 observations during the reporting period.
