Driver Scores

To view the Safety Scores for individual drivers, navigate to the customer's driver list.

The driver list includes a Safety Score column which shows the most recent available Safety Score for that driver. If the driver's most recent score is not for the most recent month, a "!" icon will be shown next to the score.

To view the driver's Score trend over time, click on the graph icon. This will open a popup with a trend graph.

The popup includes the customer name, the driver's name, the driver's most recent score, and the percentile of the most recent score (among all drivers in the fleet).

The driver's Safety Score trend is shown in green, along with the percentile benchmarks (25th, median, and 75th), and the highest and lowest scores for the period (in gray and red, respectively).

If the driver had fewer than 500 observations in a given month, no score or percentile lines will be shown for that month.

If the fleet has fewer than ten drivers, no percentile lines will be shown, and the percentile of the driver's most recent score will not be shown.

Below is a typical trend graph. The driver's data started in October 2019, so that is where the graph starts. The driver's score is shown in green, and their score hovers around the 75th percentile mark (in yellow). The maximum score for any driver in the fleet is 850 (in gray), and the worst score of any driver bounces around in the 500-600 range (in red).

Spreadsheets

Downloading the driver list CSV/XLSX includes several new columns with driver Safety Score information:

  • Safety Score - the driver's most recent Safety Score
  • Score Period - the period (year and month) of the driver's most recent Safety Score
  • Score Percentile - the percentile of the driver's most recent Score (if available)
  • Score {year-month} - the driver's scores for the last 13 months, as available

Limitations

  • A driver must have at least 500 observations during the month to generate a score for that month.
  • A fleet must have at least 10 drivers to show the percentile lines on the chart. [Is that 10 drivers total, or 10 scored drivers?]
  • The score shown on the driver list is the most recent available score for that driver. It may not pertain to the most recent period, in which case there will be an "!" icon next to the score.
  • Percentile lines are only shown for months where the driver has data.

A driver must have at least 500 observations during the month to generate a score. If the driver has less than 500 observations for a given month, there will be a gap in that driver's chart. In the example below, the driver did not have enough crumbs in February 2020 for a score (maybe there was no data at all, maybe there were 499 crumbs - in any case there were less than 500 crumbs), so there is a gap in the chart.

The fleet must have at least ten drivers to show the percentile lines. In the example above, there are only seven drivers in the fleet, so there are no percentile lines shown on the chart. This is because the percentile information would be misleading.

The score shown on the driver list is the most recent available score for that driver. It may not pertain to the most recent period, in which case there will be an "!" icon next to the score. For example, if the most recent period is May 2020, but the most recent score available for that driver is from February 2020, the score shown will be from February 2020, and there will be an "!" icon next to the score. An explanation is also provided in the tooltip when you hover over the score.

Percentile lines are only shown for months where the driver has data. In the example below, the driver does not have scores for July-September 2019, or April 2020, so no percentile lines are shown. This is done for two reasons: 1) it would be difficult to identify that the driver was un-scored for a given month if the other percentile lines are still shown, and 2) the percentile lines are meant to show how the driver compares to the benchmark, so if the driver didn't have data there is no comparison to make for that month.
