Before your organization begin integrating EROAD data into SpeedGauge, you must first obtain a secure API Key from your EROAD Account. A person with the Client Administrator role in your organization can generate a key in Depot.
Generating and API Key
1. In Depot, go to Administration > My Organization, and click Add in the Partner Gateways section.
2. In the Partner Gateway popup, fill in the fields:
Name - Enter a reference name for the API.
Group/Tab - (Maximum of 10 characters) Enter an applicable name for the Partner Gateway and the API.
Enabled – Check box - Enable SpeedGauge to get EROAD data.
3. Click Save to complete the setup.
Depot generates a unique API key in the form of an alphanumeric string and saved in Administration / My Organization / Partner Gateway. The ON setting is automatically enabled. When Saved, this is sent to SpeedGauge to activate your Safety Center account.
4. After Saving, Copy API Key and send to activations@speedgauge.net along with your Company Name, EROAD Account Number and Contact Details (Name, Email, Mailing Address, Phone Number).
