Verizon Connect Reveal - Adding Vehicle ID's and Removing Special Characters

For Verizon Connect Reveal accounts, there must be a value in the 'Reported Vehicle ID' field for SpeedGauge to collect data. In some circumstances, after the API sync, this field may be empty.

To solve this, the Connect Reveal customer will need to edit their vehicles and add the Reported Vehicle ID.

1) Login to their Connect Reveal account

2) Go to the 'Live Map'. A vehicle listing will be shown on the left side.

3) Click on the three dots on a vehicle listed and go down to 'Edit'.

4) Enter the Reported Vehicle ID from the drop down menu and 'Save Changes' at the bottom of the page.

Once all Reported Vehicles IDs have been entered, data will flow over to SpeedGauge after the next API sync.

There may be instances where we have a vehicle listing but no data is flowing to SpeedGauge. In some cases, this may be caused by special characters within the Reported Vehicle ID. The sample below is such a circumstance - the '#' and the '/' should be removed.

Follow the same steps as shown above to edit the 'Vehicle Number' on the Verizon Connect Reveal account. Remove the '#' and the '/' characters and 'Save' changes.

Once all Reported Vehicles IDs have been corrected, data will flow over to SpeedGauge after the next API sync.

Adding Vehicle #'s

For SpeedGauge to get data for a Reveal fleet customer, a 'Vehicle #' needs to be included on the fleet's Reveal account. In the example below, SpeedGauge was not receiving data. Reveal Support indicated that there wasn't any 'Vehicle #'s' listed.

To Add Vehicle #'s:

1) Login to the Reveal account and click on the intials on the top right - then click on 'Admin'.

2) From 'Admin' click on 'Vehicle List'

3) From the Vehicle List click on the 'edit' icon for vehicles that need a Vehicle Number and/or update Vehicle Name.

4) Add Vehicle Number and/or update Vehicle Name.  [SAVE]
