Customer Activation Instructions

For SpeedGauge’s analytics to function, we need what is called a ‘Token’ that needs to be obtained from your GPS Insight user interface. Please follow the instructions below.

1) Open a web browser, and login to portal.gpsinsight.com with your username.

2) From the Menu Bar, hover over the Account menu, point to Manage Users, and click Manage access to api V2 functions.

3) The Manage API Apps page appears. In the API Apps List grid, click API App next to Create New as seen below.

4) In the New API App window, enter an App Name and Description, and click Save API App and enter the information as shown below.

App Name: SpeedGauge

Description: vender access

Username: Click the dropdown arrow and select your ‘Username’.

5) A new App Token is generated as shown below.

6) Copy the above alpha numeric string (Token shown above highlighted in yellow) and paste into an email and also add your ‘Username’: Subject: GPS Insight API Token and Username for ‘Joe’s Trucking’ [your company name]

Thank you for performing the above process. Once we receive the token, we will activate your SpeedGauge account.
