HD Fleet Cam - How to Add Vehicle Name and VINs

To turn on the interface between SpeedGauge and HD Fleet takes less than 5 minutes but requires two fields to be entered by the fleet.  SpeedGauge needs the official vehicle name and the VIN #’s to match in both systems. The link below is the instructions in the HD Fleet Knowledge Base.

Steps to add VIN in HD Fleet system and verify names match are below.

1) Login to HD Fleet @ https://hdfleet.net

2) Go to the Status Screen @ https://hdfleet.net/hdfleet/ui/vehiclestatus?

3) Click on the Edit Button on the vehicle under the Action column

4)  Fill in the official vehicle name. This is the name you might call the Truck in SpeedGauge. (We provide this field because 3rd party systems might not allow the friendly name of your vehicle)

5) Fill in the VIN # for the vehicle. This is required and what links the systems together with SpeedGauge as the primary key since they are a unique value for all vehicles in the world. - SAVE.
